⚾️ Back in town
🥎 Player of the Week
🐯 And much, much more!

Mic Check. Check out the best sights and sounds of the 2023 spring football season with this episode of Uncut! The players were mic’d up and this is the very best of their spring shenanigans. You’re in for a treat!

🔼 Aced It. For the third time this season, Paul Skenes was named SEC Pitcher of the Week after his career-night on the Plains. He became the first LSU pitcher to throw 15 K’s in an SEC game since 2009.

Welcome Back. The second-ranked Tigers are back in Alex Box Stadium tonight after a four-game road stretch. Northwestern State is on the slate for 6:30pm. The Tigers are 34-9 against the Demons, they aren’t as scary as they sound. They do have some noisy bats, third baseman Michael Dattalo is averaging .395 with 40 runs scored. That’s of course nothing to Dylan Crews’ insane .463 average and 73 runs scored.

🔼 Champions Only. The National Champs are headed to the White House on May 26 to celebrate the trophy. President Biden will be the fourth president that Kim Mulkey has gone to visit after winning a National Championship. Speaking of the number four, the team will be the fourth LSU sport to visit the White House, joining baseball, football, and track & field.

🔼 Dominated The Diamond. Paul Skenes got the spotlight for baseball, but Ali Newland is taking it for softball. The junior picked up her first SEC Player of the Week honor after ending the regular season strong. She hit .700 with 7 hits and 3 runs scored in the Georgia series. She also managed to hit a double in each game and had a 1.000 slugging percentage over the weekend.

🔼 Checking In. Both LSU track and field teams are checking in at No. 6 in this week’s USTFCCCA poll. The Tigers have 14 marks inside the top 10 of the national rankings this week. The men’s 4×100 squad remain in first along with Michaela Rose’s 800m time of 1:59.08. The teams are now preparing for the SEC Championships that begin on Thursday here in Baton Rouge.

Tiger Fight. LSU softball has had a great year and many weekly honors come in.
