🔼  Give Me 5. The Allstate Sugar Bowl released the Manning Award watch list including 33 of the top quarterbacks in the nation, including our own Jayden Daniels. His name has been landing on nearly every watch list he’s eligible for. The Manning Award was created to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning.

🏆 Mekhi Wingo and Harold Perkins landed on the Lombardi Trophy watch list, awarded to the best college football lineman of the year. Both defenders are already on multiple watch lists going into this season.

🔼 All Around The World. Nine Tigers, past and current, are set to compete at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest this weekend! Four 2023 team members and five former Tigers will be representing six different countries at the event. The 2023 Tigers include Favour Ofili (Nigeria), Ella Onojuvwevwo (Nigeria), Shakeen McKay (Trinidad & Tobago), and Claudio Romero (Chile). Tiger alumni at the event include Mondo Duplantis (Sweden), Natoya Goule (Jamaica), JuVaughn Harrison (United States), Vernon Norwood (United States), and Sha’Carri Richardson (United States). The event will be available on NBC, NBC Sports, CNBC, USA Network, and Peacock running from August 19-27.

🔼 Man Of The Year. LSU football’s Will Redmond won the 2022 Player Personnel Director of the Year from Football Scoop! It’s been a good week for the LSU football staff, Director of Recruiting JR Belton was named one of College Football’s Rising Stars by 247 Sports.

🔼 Something To Prove. Five LSU soccer players were named to the 2023 SEC Preseason WatchlistMollie Baker, Maya Gordon, Ida Hermannsdóttir, Rammie Noel, and Mollee Swift. Maya and Mollee will serve as captains this year for their final season. The season starts on Thursday against South Florida at 6:00pm.
