Today, we're back from a long weekend with updates from soccer, volleyball, and golf.
Good morning. Welcome back to reality! The long weekend is over and we’re back to business. Luckily, a long weekend means a short work week ahead, and this week is full of LSU athletics.

📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Tigers Topple Lions. The LSU soccer team dominated Texas A&M Commerce 6-0 on Sunday afternoon. The fun began with Sage Glover getting her second goal of the season. Just before halftime, Jordan Johnson got the ball to Raelyn Prince, who scored to give the Tigers the 2-0 lead. Britney Bertram and Rammie Noel added on two goals, while Kelsey Major knocked in two of her own. The team will be staying home on Thursday as they host Pepperdine at 6:00pm.
🔼 Bounced Back. The volleyball team closed the Bluejay Invitational with a 3-1 win over Ball State. The Tigers recorded a season-high 15 aces with 5 players registering multiple. Jurnee Robinson led the match with 17 kills, a season-high 4 blocks, 3 digs, and 2 aces. Her play landed her on the Bluejay Invitational All-Tournament Team. Erin Carmichael led the way with 5 aces. The Tigers are back in the PMAC tomorrow at 11:00am, hosting UL-Lafayette.
🔼 Freakish Freshman. Women’s basketball freshman Mikaylah Williams was named the MVP of the FIBA U18 3×3 World Cup for the third time! Team USA won gold for the fifth time in-a-row after defeating France. Check out some of the highlights! Mikayla was the No. 1 high school player in the 2023 class.
🔼 Tee Time. The Tigers men’s golf team tee’d off for the first time of the 2023 season yesterday at the Golfweek Collegiate Kickoff. This lineup is mixed with familiar faces and some newcomers. Connor Gaunt, Luke Haskew, and Cohen Trolio made their return, while grad transfer Alex Price and freshman Jay Mendell made their LSU debut. Alex ended day one at the top of the leaderboard after shooting 13-under. The Tigers led all teams with -20 after day one. Round two will continue at 7:45am and round three will begin at 8:30am.
⛳️ Speaking of Golfweek, women’s team members Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone were named Golfweek Preseason First-Team All-Americans!
