The Climb. Even in the snowcapped mountains of Utah, LSU Gymnastics sets the competition ablaze, facing off against three of the nation's top programs. Accompanied by her new sidekick, freshman Konnor McClain makes a powerful statement with a standout performance. Back at the PMAC, Haleigh Bryant and Kiya Johnson unleash a scorching one-two punch, earning perfect tens that solidify the Tigers as an unstoppable flame.

🔼 Battle Of The Best. Last night’s matchup between No. 1 South Carolina and No. 9 LSU ended up being every bit of exciting. The Tigers fell 76-70 in a tough fought game against the only undefeated team and men’s or women’s college basketball. Big plays were made all over the court to keep momentum high all game long. Aneesah Morrow led the Tigers with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Angel Reese wasn’t far behind with 15 points and eight rebounds. Hailey Van Lith came up huge in the fourth quarter, banking a big time three. She finished with 13 points. Mikaylah Williams finished with 12 points and six assists and Flau’Jae Johnson finished with 10 points.

🔼 Welcome Party. Football head coach Brian Kelly announced changes to the staff this week. Joe Sloan was named offensive coordinator and Cortez Hankson will be the co-offensive coordinator. Slade Nagle will coach special teams and tight ends. Joe and Cortez received promotions within the program, as both were on last year’s staff. Slade spent eight seasons at Tulane where he was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

🔼 Practice Makes Perfect. Most of the Tiger teams are away this weekend, but the baseball team wanted to bring the action! The team’s intra-squad scrimmages at The Box are free for fans to attend this weekend. They’ll scrimmage today at 3:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm. The season is right around the corner!

🔼  Watch Out. The Bayou Barbie was named to the Katrina McClain Award Midseason Top-10 Watchlist as one of the best power forwards in the nation. Angel Reese has scored in double figures in every single game at LSU and is currently averaging 19.9 points with 12.1 rebounds. The SEC Player of the Week (insert tonight numbers).
