The Vault. It’s officially Ole Miss week, so let’s take a step into The Vault. The No. 1-ranked LSU Football team ran for 353 yards and four touchdowns, and scored twice defensively for its most lopsided win in the 100-game series with Ole Miss, 52-3, on November 19, 2011. LSU, which is 7-0 in Southeastern Conference play, improved to 11-0 in the regular season for the first time in school history.

🔼 Bayou BBQ. Brian Thomas, Malik Nabers, Jayden Daniels, it doesn’t matter — they cooked the Hogs on Saturday night. A slow start put the Razorbacks ahead early, but Brian Thomas turned it up with a 49-yard touchdown right before halftime. He opened the second half the same way, with another 49-yard touchdown on the first drive. The second half brought a back-and-forth offensive battle, as Arkansas couldn’t stop the LSU offense that put up 24-points. It wasn’t without a fight though, when the Tigers would score, so would the Razorbacks. This battle went down to the wire, per usual, and Damien Ramos nailed a 20-yard field goal with 5 seconds remaining for the 34-31 win.

• Jayden Daniels: 320 passing yards, 4 touchdowns

• Malik Nabers: 8 receptions, 130 yards, 2 touchdowns

• Brian Thomas: 5 receptions, 133 yards, 2 touchdowns

🔼 Tigers: 2, Bulldogs: 0: The soccer team took down two Bulldogs this week in Georgia and Mississippi State. They got the 2-1 win over Mississippi State in the SEC home opener yesterday. Taylor Swift wasn’t the only popular Swift on Sunday afternoon, Mollee Swift scored the first goal of the game to tie it up! Sage Glover scored later to give the duo goals in back-to-back games. The Tigers are now 2-1 in conference play as they wait for Florida to come to town on Friday.

🔼  Fall Ball. It’s officially fall, which means fall ball in Alex Box Stadium! Next week, on Oct. 5, the Tigers will begin their six-week fall practice period. Intra-squad scrimmages will be open to the public and will take place Oct. 5, 6, and 8. They’ll see some competition in November when they go to McNeese for a fall matchup. After, they’ll host Louisiana-Lafayette on Nov. 12. Click here to see the fall roster.
