Lagniappe. Get to know this class of newcomers for the 2024-25 LSU Women's Basketball season as they showcase what's in their locker.

🔼  2 For No. 2. The second-ranked gymnastics squad finished second at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad on Saturday! They put up a fight against No. 1 Oklahoma, who took first-place. The Tigers finished with a 197.650 score. Aleah Finnegan and Kailin Chio both finished with a 39.650 all-around score, tied for second in the second session. Chio won the vault title with a 9.95 score, while Finnegan secured the floor title with a nearly perfect 9.975.

🔼 Road Woes. The men’s basketball team dropped their third-straight SEC game at No. 23 Ole Miss, falling 77-65. Turnovers hurt the Tigers as the Rebels scored 23 points off LSU’s 17 turnovers. Cam Carter led LSU with 16 points, adding four rebounds. Daimion Collins scored 14 and grabbed four offensive rebounds. The Tigers will host Arkansas tomorrow at 8 p.m.

🔼 Monday Night Hoops. The sixth-ranked women’s basketball team will host Vanderbilt tonight at 6 p.m. This will be the final Beat the Buzzer Happy Hour night for the women’s basketball season, so get to the PMAC early to receive discounted concessions! Fans at home can tune in on SEC Network. The Tigers enter the game 18-0 coming off a road win over No. 16 Tennessee. The Commodores have lost their last two conference games, but feature a tandem that ranks inside the top-20 nationally in scoring.

🔼 Top Tigers. LSU baseball has the best freshman class in the nation! We’re not the only ones who think that, the class was ranked No. 1 by D1 Baseball for the second time in three years. D1 Baseball writer Aaron Fitts named freshman catcher Cade Arrambide as one of the nation’s best newcomers. He also mentioned that outfielder Derek Curiel could be one of the nation’s most impactful freshman bats.
