LSU Gymnastics took their annual team advance to Gulf Shores, where they spent time reflecting, building, and creating a new theme for the season. After a strong preseason, the Tigers hosted a record crowd for their Open Mike Night Showcase at the PMAC, before officially kicking off the 2026 season at the third-annual Sprouts Collegiate Quad in Utah.

🔼 Act Two. LSU softball’s Tori Edwards is a 2025 Softball American Preseason All-American! Edwards finished her freshman campaign, in which she won SEC Freshman of the Year honors, with a .375 batting average with 62 hits, 52 runs scored, and 37 walks.

🔼 Keep Watch. Four LSU softball players landed on D1Softball’s 2026 Preseason D100 Player Rankings. Tori Edwards (No .13), Maci Bergeron (No. 54), Jayden Heavener (No. 68), and Char Lorenz (No. 73) all made the list. The 2026 season begins on Feb. 5-8 at the 2026 Tiger Classic.

🔼 Top Rookies. Six LSU Tigers are part of Perfect Game’s Top 100 Freshmen. Infielder Jack Ruckert (No. 14), outfielder/first baseman Mason Braun (No. 20), catcher Omar Serna Jr. (No. 28), RHP Marcos Paz (No. 33), RHP Reagan Ricken (No. 46), and outfielder William Patrick (No. 77) are all incoming players to watch as LSU kicks off its national title defense.

🔼 A Strong Opener. LSU’s Kailin Chio claimed the first SEC Award of the season for the Tigers, earning SEC Gymnast of the Week after a strong season opener. Chio earned the all-around title in Session I of the Sprouts Quad with a score of 39.600.
