Tigers Win. If you follow college basketball, you know Jon Rothstein. Maybe for his tweets or his takes on the desk at CBS Sports. Today, he joins the Hey Fightin' Podcast Network to talk about his career in sports media, the SEC's dominance, LSU's path to March, and the new era of collegiate athletics.

🔼  Double-Double Queen. The nation’s double-double leader Aneesah Morrow has been named SEC Player of the Week! She hit career milestones in the last week, reaching 2,500 career points, 1,500 career rebounds, and her 90th career double-double which is tied for third-most in NCAA DI history. Her next double-double will put her in a tie for the second-most in NCAA DI history. At No. 16 Tennessee, she scored 23 points along with 21 rebounds to become the first player in the country this season to record multiple 20/20 games. Against Vanderbilt, she recorded 23 points and 15 rebounds for her eighth 20/15 game this season.

🔼 Stick It. Two LSU gymnasts earned SEC honors this week! Kailin Chio was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week for the second-straight week. She scored a career-high 39.625 in the all-around, posting scores of 9.950 on vault, 9.900 on bars, 9.850 on beam, and 9.25 on floor. She is currently ranked the No. 5 all-arounder in the country. Ashley Cowan was named SEC Co-Specialist of the Week after scoring 9.950 on bars. She ranks 10th in the nation on bars with an average of 9.900. The Tigers remain No. 2 in this week’s Road to Nationals rankings.

🔼 Hog Wild. The men’s basketball team got their first SEC win of the year last night! They took down Arkansas 78-74 behind Cam Carter’s season-high 27 points. Jordan Sears scored 17 points and led the team with three assists. The Tigers went on a 20-3 run to make space late in the second half. LSU is now 10-1 in home games this season.

🔼 Remember A Trailblazer. LSU Athletics Hall of Famer Dr. Bill Bankhead passed away last week at the age of 89. He was a prominent figure in LSU athletics, founding LSU’s men’s gymnastics program, reviving the swimming program that was discontinued during World War II, and managing the Assembly Center. He was one of the first administrators to coordinate women’s sports and Title IX compliance at LSU.

🔼 Rising Star. LSU Athletics Communicator Keonte’ Herrera was named the 2025 College Sports Communictors’ Rising Star Award recipient! He oversees the daily communication efforts for LSU volleyball and softball. He also has a leadership role with the Black College Sports Information Directors Association and is a member of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association.
