🎥 LSU+

Lagniappe. LSU Baseball kicked off the 2025 season with the First Pitch Banquet at the Crowne Plaza on January 16th. Hear Jay Johnson's address along with a Q&A panel with National Champion former Tigers Tre' Morgan and Dylan Crews.

🔼 Chomped ‘Em. The second-ranked gymnastics team took down No. 7 Florida by a score of 197.550-197.450. The Tigers produced a season-high 49.525 on beam. Aleah Finnegan scored a 9.95 on floor to win the title, plus she split the all-around title with Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda. The Tigers took home at least a share of every event title of the night. The crowd of 13,515 ranked third in program history for a home meet at the PMAC!

🔼  Unbeaten. It was a bad weekend to be a Florida Gator playing LSU. The fifth-ranked women’s basketball team improved to 20-0 after beating Florida 80-63. Aneesah Morrow recorded her 10th-straight double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Mikaylah Williams led the Tigers with 22 points, adding eight rebounds. Coach Mulkey has won at least 20 games in all 25 seasons of her head coaching career.

🔼  Our House. The LSU track & field team kicked off the 2024 season with several solid performances at the Purple Tiger. Jahiem Stern won the men’s 60-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 7.64 seconds, setting a new Carl Maddox Field House record and ranking him fifth in the world. Machaeda Linton made her LSU debut by winning the long jump and setting a new personal best in the 60m dash, taking second-place.

🔼 Took A Hit. The men’s basketball team fell 68-57 on the road at No. 11 Texas A&M. The Aggies broke open the game after a 10-0 run in the second half. Cam Carter led the Tigers with 16 points. They’ll take a break through the week before taking on Alabama on Saturday night.

🔼 Double Trouble. Two LSU soccer players earned All-Louisiana honors! Sydney Cheesman was named Newcomer of the Year and honorable mention. She was a major contributor to the LSU defense in 2024, leading the team in assists. Ida Hermannsdottir earned first-team honors after being LSU’s leading scorer with eight goals.
