Sports Information: Jacob Hester Talks Career in Media, His Love for LSU, NFL Stories & More

Jacob Hester, one of the most recognizable faces for LSU – both as a player and media personality – joins the latest episode of Sports Information. Hester, a former No. 18 and national champion running back, talks about his career in media as host of "Off Campus" on SiriusXM and host of Off The Bench on 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge, as well as his love for LSU as a native of Shreveport. Plus, Hester shares stories from the NFL and talks about the current age of the transfer portal.

LSU women’s basketball team defeated the 13th-ranked Sooners, 91-72, Sunday afternoon. Jada Richard scored a career high 21 points and finished with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

🔼 Game Day. It’s Game Day for LSU men’s basketball! The Tigers will take on Florida in Gainesville this evening at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network. LSU is set to take on a Gators squad that has consecutive wins over Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt, and sits tied at the top of the SEC standings. Full preview here.

🔼 That’s A Sweep. LSU women’s tennis posted a 4-0 sweep over San Diego on Monday. The Tigers are now 2-0 on the season with back-to-back shutouts. LSU is set to host the ITA Kickoff Weekend at the LSU Tennis Complex against Marshall on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m.

🔼 Save The Date. LSU baseball will host four free scrimmages this week that are open to the public. Fans will be admitted at the Gate 2 home plate entrance about 15 minutes prior to the first pitch. Dates and times here.

🔼 Lunch Time. LSU’s Jay Johnson will speak at noon on Tuesday at the New Orleans Quarterback Club “Baseball Bash.” The event features 11 head coaches from schools across Louisiana.

🔼 Perfect Start. LSU men’s tennis is 3-0 to start its spring campaign! The Tigers swept South Alabama and Jackson State, 7-0, to wrap up the first weekend of the dual season. The team is back at it at the ITA Kickoff Tournament next weekend with the first match slated for Jan. 24.
