It was so good to see Tigers are back on the hardwood! LSU came away with a 63-60 exhibition win at McNeese. Divine Ugochukwu led the way with 18, including the corner three that tied it at 56 with 2:40 left, while Mo Dioubate added 16 and Michael Ruzic pulled down 16 rebounds. UCF comes to the Maravich Center on Wednesday at 7 p.m., free to get in.

🔼 OT Battle. Kentucky scored in overtime and converted a two-point keeper to beat LSU 35-34 in Lexington. The Tigers led 27-24 late in the fourth after a trick play - Sam Leavitt pitched to Jackson Harris, who threw 41 yards to Roman Mothershed - but the Wildcats tied it on a 33-yard field goal with 12 seconds left. Leavitt finished 25-of-34 for 275 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Dilin Jones led the team in both rushing and receiving, and TJ Dottery had 12 tackles. LSU hosts Mississippi State on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.

🔼 Down Two In Three Minutes. Arkansas scored in the first minute, then again in the third, and LSU soccer spent the next 78 minutes clawing all the way back. Linka Ono answered in the fifth off feeds from Sariyah Bailey and Ryleigh Albin, and Berglind Hlynsdottir leveled it in the 81st with help from Ono and Emma Alvord for a 2-2 draw with the No. 23 Razorbacks. The Tigers controlled the night after the opening flurry: 18 shots to 14, 59 percent possession, and 12 of their shots in the second half alone while Audur Scheving and the defense pitched a shutout after the break. LSU heads to Texas on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT.

🔼 Clean Sweep. The LSU women won every single swimming event at the Naval Academy on Friday, dismantling Navy 225.5-74.5 and Loyola (Md.) 247-53 with Zoe Carlos-Broc taking two individual wins and the Tigers going 1-2-3 in the 100 back. The men took eight events and beat Loyola 209-91, with Jere Hribar setting a Lejeune Hall pool record of 19.23 in the 50 free and adding a win in the 100 fly. Nineteen Tigers made their LSU debuts in the meet. They’re back at the LSU Natatorium on Friday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. against Texas A&M.

🔼 Touchdowns Buy Books. Nineteen LSU student-athletes from nine sports fanned out to 10 elementary schools across East Baton Rouge, Terrebonne, Tangipahoa, and Calcasieu parishes for the first Reading With a Tiger week, putting 5,824 books in the hands of 4,053 kids. Second graders got a read-aloud, literacy activities, and a Q&A with the athletes, then picked three books each to take home and start building their own libraries. Every student at every participating school walked away with a book. Woodside Energy, LSU’s Official Community Partner, is backing the program and will donate $500 toward literacy initiatives for every Tiger football touchdown this fall.
