🔼 Going Bananas Again. The Savannah Bananas are coming back to Baton Rouge this spring as part of the Death Valley Live Stadium Series, returning to Alex Box Stadium on March 4, 2027, before making their first-ever appearance in Tiger Stadium on March 6. The ticket lottery list is open now through Oct. 31 at 10:59 p.m. CT at bananaball.com, and joining doesn’t guarantee a shot at tickets, so don’t wait. Suite and club holders at both venues will get ticketing details by email.

🔼 Wild Finish at the PMAC. Tied at 81 with the clock bleeding out, Donovan Dent drove the lane and scored with eight seconds left, then Mo Dioubate stole the inbounds pass and laid it in: four points in eight seconds to beat UCF 85-81. Dent finished a rebound shy of a triple-double with 21 points, 11 assists, and nine boards while drawing 13 fouls in 38 minutes. Abdi Bashir Jr. was the sharpshooter with 26 on 6-of-12 from deep, and Michael Ruzic posted his second straight exhibition double-double. The Tigers are 2-0 in exhibition play with one more at Florida State on Oct. 24.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. LSU gymnastics has released its 2027 schedule, and the Tigers will chase a national title with 12 returners from last year’s NCAA runner-up squad, including SEC Gymnast of the Year Kailin Chio and six-time All-American Konnor McClain. The season opens Jan. 9 at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad in Greenville, airing live on ABC, before the home opener against Arizona State on Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m. CT, with Oklahoma and Florida both visiting the PMAC in February. Fans can get a free first look at the Gymnastics 101/Open Mike Night exhibition on New Year’s Day at 1 p.m. CT, and season ticket requests are open now.

🔼 In Focus. LSU senior Jordyn Lyden found exactly what she was looking for when she entered the transfer portal from Minnesota: a program where her faith and her gymnastics could grow together. Lyden says her new teammates reached out before she ever arrived, and she’s embraced a team culture built on openness, vulnerability, and associate head coach Garrett Griffeth’s mantra, “All we got is all we need.” We can’t wait to watch her fly on her favorite event, bars, in front of the PMAC crowd this season.

🔼 Back in the PMAC. LSU volleyball returns home for a pair of SEC matchups this weekend, hosting South Carolina tonight at 7 p.m. CT and Georgia on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT, with both streaming on SEC Network+. The Tigers are 5-2 at the Maravich Center this season and lean on an SEC-leading attacker in Jurnee Robinson, who tops the league at 4.97 kills per set, plus a defense that ranks third in the conference in digs. LSU has won seven of its last eight against the Gamecocks and gets a shot Sunday at its first win over the Bulldogs since 2021.

🔼 Defending Turf. LSU men’s golf wraps up its fall season this week at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational, where the Tigers won last year at 32-under and Arni Sveinsson took the individual crown. Sveinsson makes his season debut alongside Jay Mendell, who set the LSU single-season stroke average record last spring, and sophomore Dan Hayes, fresh off a fifth-place finish at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational. Six ranked teams are in the field, including No. 1 Arkansas.
