Every 5 Yards. Somehow - just somehow (!) - the Fightin’ Tigers of LSU have won eight of their last nine against Arkansas, a series that has produced some nail-biting and heart-stopping finishes over the last decade. Thankfully, Saturday was not one of them.

Behind freshman running back Caden Durham, and a standout performance from sophomore linebacker Whit Weeks, the Tigers left Fayetteville with a commanding 37-10 victory over the Hogs.

Don’t look now, but No. 8 LSU has won six-straight after suffering a heartbreaker in the opener, a team that has grown leaps and bounds since Vegas and looks to keep improving as November approaches.

🔼 Mr. Reliable. Two Tigers earned SEC honors this week! Kicker Damian Ramos was named the SEC Specialist of the Week. He had a career-best performance where he made four field goals, including a career-long-tying 48-yard kick. He also made both of his extra-point attempts.

Offensive tackle Emery Jones Jr. was named Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week. He led a line that scored 34 points at Arkansas as the Tigers compiled 393 total yards. The offensive line did not allow a sack for the sixth game this season.

🔼  Tied For Two. The men’s golf team finished runner-up at the Fallen Oak Invitational. They posted a team score of 11-under over three rounds of play. Árni Sveinsson led the team as he tied for second individually at 6-under. Algot Kleen finished tied for 13th. They’ll travel to Maui, Hawaii for the Ka’anapali Classic on November 2.

🔼 Chasing A Card. Former LSU women’s golfers Latanna Stone and Carla Tejedo are on the road to a potential LPGA Tour card. They advanced through pre-qualifying in California and will take on two courses in Florida in this second stage. A total of 182 players will take part in the 72-hole competition, then a number of competitors will be announced to advance to the final qualifying.

🔼  Pro Tigers Tip Off. Seven former Tigers are on opening week NBA rosters as the league begins its 2024-25 season tonight.

• Naz Reid will take the court with the Minnesota Timberwolves as they play the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at 9 p.m. on TNT.

• Garrett Temple will play with the Toronto Raptors against Cleveland tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.

• Cam Thomas, Trendon Watford, and Ben Simmons suit up for the Brooklyn Nets at Atlanta tomorrow, also at 6:30 p.m.

• Tari Eason and the Houston Rockets will take on the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow at 7 p.m.

• Duop Reath will suit up for the Portland Trailblazers as they host Golden State tomorrow at 9 p.m.
