Good morning, Tigers.

LSU rolled Auburn 38-17 on Saturday behind its best offensive showing of the season, with Sam Leavitt throwing for 387 yards and three touchdowns on 32-of-45 passing. Jackson Harris was the problem Auburn couldn’t solve, hauling in nine catches for 178 yards and two scores including a 70-yard strike before halftime. The defense piled up seven sacks, two from Jordan Ross, and the Tigers now take an open week before hosting Alabama on Nov. 7.

🏀 Remembering Coach Brown
🏊 Records Fall
🐯 And so much more!

🔼 Remembering Coach Brown. Dale Brown, the winningest coach in LSU basketball history, died Friday at age 90, days before his 91st birthday and just days after being named the 2027 recipient of the John R. Wooden Legends of Coaching Award. Brown arrived in Baton Rouge in 1972 as a virtual unknown and spent 25 years building the Tigers into a national program, winning 448 games, four SEC championships, and reaching the Final Four in 1981 and 1986. He coached six All-Americans, including Shaquille O’Neal and Rudy Macklin, and was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, the LSU Athletics Hall of Fame, and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. The court at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center was named for him in 2022.

🔼 Spreading It Around. Five LSU players reached double-digit kills in a 3-1 win at Auburn yesterday, the Tigers’ first SEC road victory since November of last season. Jurnee Robinson paced everyone with 19 kills and five blocks for 22.5 points, Jessica Jones hit .588 on 17 errorless swings, and Angelina Lee led all players with seven blocks as LSU hit .315 as a team. The Tigers get a week off before heading to Ole Miss on Sunday, Nov. 1.

🔼 Records Fall. LSU swept Texas A&M on Friday night, the women rolling 215-83 for their first win over the Aggies since 2001 and the men taking it 181.5-116.5 for their first since 2014. Jere Hribar owned the night with a school record and three pool records, Nikola Simic took five seconds off his own school mark in the 1000 free, and Martina Bukvic broke a 15-year-old school record in the 100 breast. The women won every swimming event for the second straight meet, and the Tigers are back in the pool Thursday, Nov. 5, against Auburn.

🔼 Holding the Line. LSU soccer grabbed a point from a scoreless draw with Mississippi State yesterday afternoon in its home finale, with Audur Scheving turning aside four shots to keep the sheet clean. Ava Galligan led all Tigers with five attempts as part of a 16-shot afternoon, and LSU controlled 52 percent of possession despite the Bulldogs edging them in shots and corners. The Tigers wrap the regular season at Missouri on Sunday at noon CT on SEC Network+.
