Good morning, Tigers.

Sam Leavitt and Jordan Ross both picked up SEC weekly awards for their work in the 38-17 win at Auburn, each claiming the honor for the second time this season. Leavitt threw for a career-best 378 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing score, with his 32 completions matching a career high and putting him alongside Joe Burrow as the only Tigers ever with back-to-back 30-completion games.

Ross anchored a defense that produced seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss while holding Auburn to a season low in total yards and under 100 rushing for the first time all year.

🔼 Floor General Recognized. Jada Williams has landed on the Nancy Lieberman Award Watchlist as one of the top 20 point guards in the country, an honor LSU has claimed just once in its history. The Iowa State transfer averaged 15.3 points and 7.7 assists last season in Ames, ranking top five nationally in both total assists and assists per game while earning All-Big 12 First Team. She opened her Tiger career with 12 points and seven assists in the exhibition win over UNT Dallas, and LSU closes the preseason Thursday against Loyola before hosting Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 2.

🔼 On the Watch List. Donovan Dent is one of 20 preseason candidates for the Bob Cousy Award, which goes to the top point guard in Division I men’s basketball. The UCLA transfer has filled the stat sheet across three LSU exhibitions, averaging 19 points and seven assists, including an 11-assist night against UCF and nine more at Florida State. He led the Bruins with 265 assists last season at 7.6 per game.

🎙️ Sound On. LSU women’s basketball’s Kaylin Rice is mic’d up as the squad hits the court with a new season right around the corner!

🔼 Running It Back. Former Tiger Sahvanna Jaquish has re-signed with the Utah Talons for the 2027 AUSL season after helping the club to its second straight championship. The utility player did a little of everything last year, logging innings behind the plate, at both corners, and at second base while batting .254 with 18 hits and three home runs.
