Hearing Voices: Todd Ellis, Voice of the Gamecocks
On the latest edition of Hearing Voices, Chris Blair travels to Columbia to visit with Todd Ellis, the "Voice" of the Gamecocks, to preview Saturday's contest between LSU-South Carolina inside legendary Tiger Stadium.

🔼 Year 5. The Tigers are back on the diamond, opening the six-week fall practice period today, and with it comes Year 5 of the Jay Johnson era. With 19 returnees and 20 new faces, the Tigers are gearing up to defend their 2025 National Championship. Read more about what Coach Johnson likes about his team as they gear up for a new season ahead.

🔼 Fall Ball. You’ll have three chances this week to catch Tigers baseball in intra-squad scrimmages! Come on out to Alex Box Stadium today at 4:30 p.m., tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., or Sunday at 1:30 p.m. to enjoy some fall ball. Admission and parking are free.

🔼 Watch ‘Em. LSU women’s basketball will spend a lot of time on national TV this season! The Tigers will have 17 nationally televised games across SEC Network, ESPN, ESPNU, and ABC. Notably, LSU’s clash with South Carolina is ABC’s featured game on Saturday, Feb. 14. LSU will play four non-conference games on national TV against Duke, Louisiana Tech, Texas-Arlington, and Alabama State.

🔼 Best In Conference. LSU women’s golf’s Elsa Svensson is the SEC Golfer of the Week after her career-best showing at the legendary Medinah course. Svensson finished second at the Illini Women’s Invitational earlier this week, finishing the tournament at nine-under par.

1️⃣ ONE BIG THING

The legendary Doug Moreau is set to be honored as LSU takes on South Carolina this Saturday. Moreau suited up for the Tigers as a tight end from 1962-65, earning All-America honors in 1965, before he went on to play in the NFL, then worked as a key part of LSU football radio and TV broadcasts for 52 years. Moreau will be honored on the field during the first quarter of Saturday’s game.
