🔼 Comeback Kids. The seventh-ranked women’s basketball team came back from a nine-point deficit at halftime to beat Murray State, 74-60. The Tigers held the Racers to just 14 points in the second half. Flau’Jae Johnson scored 25 points and had seven rebounds and five assists. Aneesah Morrow picked up her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 boards. The Tigers forced 19 turnovers with 12 steals on defense.
The Tigers will host Troy tonight at 7 p.m. The game will stream on SEC Network+. The pregame happy hour promotion will be in effect for the Monday matchup.
🔼 Senior Day Sweep. LSU volleyball broke out the brooms on Senior Day, sweeping Arkansas! The Tigers completely dominated the first two sets, winning 25-15 and 25-14. Jurnee Robinson led the Tigers with 10 kills. They’ll have a week off before playing at Texas A&M on Sunday.
🔼 Swamped. LSU football fell at Florida, 27-16. It was a back-and-forth battle until the fourth quarter when a Jadan Baugh 55-yard touchdown proved too much to overcome. Garrett Nussmeier threw one touchdown pass to Aaron Anderson. Damian Ramos made three field goals. The Tigers return home for their final two games of the regular season.
🔼 Got The Gold. Men’s golfer Matthew Dodd-Berry is bringing home two gold medals from the Spirit International Amateur Golf Invitational. Team England’s male duo of Dodd-Berry and Dominic Clemons made a notable impact in the gold medal performance. He earned another gold medal after the men’s and women’s duos combined for 44-under.
🔼 Ticket Punched. Women’s cross country runner Lorena Rangel Batres punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships! She finished sixth overall at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship. She qualified as one of the four best runners on a non-auto qualifying team. The team finished fourth at the meet.
