The Real Deal. It’s game week for LSU Basketball! Get to know transfer guard and Donaldsonville, La., native Cam Carter on the latest edition of The Real Deal.

🔼 Double Double-Doubles. The seventh-ranked women’s basketball team started the season with a big 95-44 win over Eastern Kentucky. Flau’jae Johnson led the team with 25 points, adding five rebounds and two assists. Aneesah Morrow recorded her first of many double-doubles of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sa’Myah Smith also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Mikaylah Williams scored 19 and added six boards. The Tigers forced 21 turnovers. They’ll play again on Friday.

🔼 Cats > Dogs. LSU baseball beat Samford 20-6 in a 21-inning exhibition on Sunday. They played at Keesler Federal Park, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Double-A affiliate, the Biloxi Shuckers. The exhibition included three seven-inning games. They’ll play another on Sunday at UL-Lafayette.

🔼  Looking For More. LSU soccer will play three-seeded Texas in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament today! They’ll get things started at 2 p.m. on SEC Network. The 11-seeded Tigers got here by beating six-seed Auburn on Sunday, 2-1.

🔼 That’s A Wrap. Just like that, the fall portion of the 2024-25 men’s golf season has come to an end! The team finished in fifth-place at the Ka’anapali Classic at 33-under. Jay Mendell finished tied for eighth as he tied his highest finish of the season. They finish the fall season with two team wins, two individual wins, and four top-five finishes.
