Meet The Freshmen: LSU Women's Tennis

Get to know the newcomers of LSU Women's Tennis, Carolina Kuhl, Addison Lanton, Ioana Sava and Alexia Marginean. These freshmen look to build on a successful season a year ago for the Tigers, which culminated in an Elite Eight run in the NCAA Tournament.

🔼 Keep Streaking. LSU soccer beat fourth-seeded Tennessee in the SEC tournament yesterday evening in Pensacola to extend its unbeaten streak. The fifth-seeded Tigers scored just 2 minutes, 11 seconds apart in the second half to take a two-goal lead. Morgan Witz opened the scoring in the 46th minute, while Ida Hermannsdottir scored in the 48th minute for the 2-0 lead.

The Tigers advance to the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 3:30 p.m. CT, where they’ll take on eighth-seeded Mississippi State. The Bulldogs beat ninth-seeded Oklahoma in Round 1, then top-seeded Arkansas in the quarterfinals to advance.

🔼 In The Rankings. LSU soccer is back in the national rankings! The Tigers entered Top Drawer Soccer’s national poll at No. 23 and the United Soccer Coaches poll at No. 25. It’s the first time the Tigers have been in the polls since 2021.

 🔼 Season Opened. No. 5 LSU women’s basketball opened up a new season in a big way last night, beating Houston Christian, 108-55. MiLaysia Fulwiley paved the way with 21 points for the Tigers, while Mikaylah Williams added 14, Flau’jae Johnson had 12, ZaKiyah Johnson had 11, and Grace Knox scored 10. ZaKiyah Johnson added 11 rebounds for her first career double-double. 12 different Tigers scored in the clash.

Next up, LSU will play Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
