The Real Deal. It’s game week for LSU Basketball! Get to know transfer guard and Donaldsonville, La., native Cam Carter on the latest edition of The Real Deal.

🔼 Real Deal. The men’s basketball season officially begins today! The Tigers will host ULM at 7 p.m. The first 500 students will receive free Whataburger! The Warhawks won their season opener over Champion Christian, 111-61. Tonight’s game will stream on SEC Network+.

🔼  Conference Calls. Women’s cross country runner Lorena Rangel Batres received All-SEC Second Team honors! She finished eighth at the SEC Championship, her highest finish at the meet. She became the fifth woman in LSU history to finish top-10 at the conference championship.

🔼 Mason For Mackey. LSU tight end Mason Taylor has been named a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award, acknowledging the best tight end in college football. He has 369 receiving yards so far this season, to go along with two touchdowns.

🔼 Now We Wait. LSU soccer fell to Texas in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament, 3-0. The match was tied at zero at halftime as neither team could break through. The Tigers will return home and wait until the NCAA selection show on Monday to learn their postseason fate.
