The Real Deal. It’s game week for LSU Basketball! Get to know transfer guard and Donaldsonville, La., native Cam Carter on the latest edition of The Real Deal.

🔼 Hot Start. The men’s basketball team started the season strong! They beat ULM 95-60 last night in the PMAC. Jalen Reed led the Tigers with a career-high 24 points and added eight rebounds. Cam Carter hit four three-pointers, scoring 21 points. Curtis Givens III also hit four three balls, scoring 15 points. They’ll return to the court on Sunday at 4 p.m. when they host Alabama State. Fans can bring their Alabama football ticket stub from Saturday’s game for free admission.

🔼  Playoff Positioning. The first College Football Playoff Rankings of the season are here! LSU came in at No. 15 as they sit 6-2 overall and 3-1 in SEC play. Alabama was ranked No. 11 as they prepare for a trip to Tiger Stadium on Saturday. The CFP Rankings will be released every Tuesday night through December 8.

🔼 Longtime Leader. LSU graduate Herb Vincent has been named the winner of the 2025 Dave Dixon Louisiana Sports Leadership Award by the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. He has been the associate commissioner of the SEC for the past 11 years. He served as senior associate athletics director and as associate vice chancellor for university relations at LSU before his role with the SEC. Additionally, he’ll be enshrined in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
