Lagniappe. LSU Baseball Head Coach Jay Johnson addresses the media on the state of the program leading up to the Tigers' 2025 season.

🔼  First Timers. The sixth-ranked women’s basketball beat No. 19 Tennessee 82-77 yesterday! For the first time in program history, the Tigers beat the Lady Vols twice in a season. Kailyn Gilbert scored 23 points, with 21 of those being in the second half. Aneesah Morrow recorded her 23rd double-double of the year with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Mikaylah Williams scored 16 with a career-high seven assists.

🔼 We’re Rollin’. The third-ranked gymnastics team took down No. 14 Alabama 197.300-197.075 on the road! Kailin Chio won her second-straight all-around title with a 39.650. She also got titles on vault and beam. Ashley Cowan and Konnor McClain shared the bars title. The Tigers will host top-ranked Oklahoma on Friday at 8 p.m.

🔼 Sweepin’ Weekend. LSU softball started the season 5-0! They recorded shutouts in their first four games before walking off Southeastern 3-2 to finish the weekend. On Friday, Jayden Heavener threw the Tigers’ first perfect game since 2020. Tori Edwards hit three home runs throughout the weekend. The Tigers will host the Purple & Gold Challenge next weekend.

🔼 QBU. Two former LSU quarterbacks and Heisman winners won NFL Honors! Washington’s Jayden Daniels was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after a historic year. Cinncinati’s Joe Burrow was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year after dominating the league despite a wrist injury in 2023. He was also a finalist for NFL MVP.
