🔼 Championship Time. LSU men's tennis (7-0) makes its first National Indoor Championship appearance since 2006, facing TCU this morning at 9 a.m. The seventh-seeded Tigers enter with their best start to a season since 2021, riding three ranked wins, including victories over No. 16 Arizona and No. 22 Pepperdine at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. LSU features three ranked players in No. 110 Erik Arutiunian, No. 123 Andrej Loncarevic, and the No. 81 doubles duo of Arutiunian and Matias Ponce de Leon, while TCU counters with four ranked singles players led by No. 5 Duncan Chan and two top-25 doubles teams.

🔼 On Track. LSU softball improved to 7-1 with a 9-4 victory over No. 23 Oklahoma State on Thursday, powered by utility players Sierra Daniel and Tori Edwards who combined for six hits and five RBI. Edwards launched a solo homer in the second inning (her third of the season) as part of her 3-for-4, three-RBI performance, while Daniel also went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Cece Cellura (2-0) pitched her first complete game as a Tiger with three strikeouts, shutting down an Oklahoma State rally attempt and setting up today’s 3:30 p.m. matchup against No. 22/19 Duke.

🔼 Looking Ahead. LSU and SMU announced that their 2029 season opener on Sept. 1 will now be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The matchup is part of a two-game series that begins with SMU visiting Tiger Stadium on Sept. 2, 2028, marking the first meeting between the schools since 1934. LSU boasts a perfect 4-0 record at AT&T Stadium with victories over TCU (2013), Texas A&M (2011 Cotton Bowl), Oregon (2011), and Miami (2018), most recently beating the Hurricanes 33-17 in the 2018 season opener.
