LSU women’s basketball rolled during yesterday’s matinee, dropping No. 24 Alabama, 103-63, at home. Jada Richard was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 16, while ZaKiyah Johnson (15), Mikaylah Williams (13), and MiLaysia Fulwiley (12) all finished in double figures.

The Tigers are set to clash on the road with Texas on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

🔼 OT Winners. LSU men’s hoops picked up an OT weekend win over South Carolina, 92-87, on the road. Mike Nwoko was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 21 points and three rebounds, while Rashad King added 18 points and seven boards, Marquel Sutton scored 16 points and eight rebounds, and Max Mackinnon tallied 15 points.

The Tigers are off until Saturday, Feb. 7, when they’ll host Georgia at 5 p.m.

🔼 Top 50. LSU baseball’s Zach Yorke checked in at No. 19 on D1 Baseball’s list of the Top 50 First Basemen for the upcoming season. Yorke, who spent three seasons at Grand Canyon before transferring to LSU, holds several Grand Canyon career records in the program’s D1 era: most homers (32) and most RBI (157).

🔼 Record Break. LSU track & field’s Abigael Chemnagei set a new program record in the 3000-meter at Razorback Invitational! She finished 11th overall with a time of 9:03.04. Fellow Tiger Edna Chepkemoi finished 13th overall with the second-best time in LSU history.

🔼 Winning On The Road. No. 2 LSU gymnastics scored a road win, 197.675 - 197.500, over No. 7 Missouri on Friday night. The performance marked LSU’s highest road score of the season, with Kailin Chio performing in all four events. Amari Drayton scored her first vault title of the year. The Tigers are back at home on Friday, Feb. 6, against Penn State at 7:30 p.m.
