🎥 LSU+: THE CLIMB

The Climb | Just Us | S4 EP4

Presented by Baton Rouge Super Chevy Dealers | LSU Gymnastics returns to the PMAC to face Auburn, before traveling to No. 1 Oklahoma the following week, as the SEC schedule continues through February. Plus, hear exclusive interviews with sophomores Kailin Chio and Lexi Zeiss.

🔼 Midweek Win. The Tigers put on a show in Baton Rouge! No. 6 LSU women’s basketball pulled away in the second half to take down Tennessee, 89-73, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, improving to 25-4 on the season. Mikaylah Williams was the star of the night, surpassing 1,500 career points while posting a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double. MiLaysia Fulwiley added 18 points, including a pair of crucial three-pointers in the second quarter that sparked a 14-point run to reclaim the lead. ZaKiyah Johnson (14), Grace Knox (13) and Flau'Jae Johnson (10) also reached double figures. LSU outscored Tennessee 46-31 in the second half and shot 50% from the field. Up next, the Tigers travel to Starkville to face Mississippi State on Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m.

🔼 Lock Down. MiLaysia Fulwiley continues to shine for LSU women’s basketball. She landed on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Late Season Team!

🔼 Bringing Home A Medal. The Tigers got their SEC Indoor Championships underway yesterday in College Station with some standout performances! Senior Jordan Turner earned LSU's first medal of the meet with a silver in the men's long jump, unleashing a massive 8.10m (26-7) leap in the fourth round that briefly set a facility record. On the women's side, Edna Chepkemoi scored LSU's first points of the week with a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters, breaking her own program record with a time of 15:35.25. In the women's 200-meter prelims, junior Kelzia Smith advanced to the final after clocking a new PR and Guyanese national record of 22.91 seconds, a time that would rank among the top 10 in the nation. After day one, the LSU men sit eighth with eight points and the women are 16th with three.

🔼 Downing A Ranked Opponent. The Tigers are rolling! No. 9 LSU women’s tennis downed No. 17 South Carolina on the road, 4-1, improving to 8-2 on the season yesterday. LSU grabbed the doubles point before rattling off three straight singles wins. Up next, the Tigers head to Athens to take on No. 1 Georgia tomorrow at 1 p.m.

🔼 Unfazed. A deep-dive feature on LSU gymnastics sophomore sensation Kailin Chio reveals the mindset behind the magic: from her Starbucks birthday cake cake-pop ritual to the "power circle" visualization the team does before every meet. Chio's club coaches at Gymcats in Henderson, Nevada, spotted her gift at age three, and by five she was hitting skills most kids couldn't dream of. A pars fracture in 2022 forced her first real setback, but she came out stronger on the other side. Now mentored by LSU assistant and program legend Haleigh Bryant, Chio is exceeding her historic freshman campaign. Her secret? Treating every meet as a blank slate, no matter what happened the week before.

🔼 Up Next. Tiger Park is the place to be this weekend. No. 17 LSU (13-4) hosts the LSU Invitational, taking on Nicholls today at 4 p.m., Memphis today at 6:30 p.m., Iowa Saturday at 4 p.m., and Memphis again Saturday at 6:30 p.m., all on SEC Network+. The Tigers are rolling with a six-game winning streak and a perfect 11-0 record at home.

🔼 Beach Bash. Home sand, home crowd, home opener. No. 12 LSU beach volleyball hosts the Tiger Beach Challenge at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium today and tomorrow, welcoming eight teams to Baton Rouge. The Sandy Tigs face Southern Miss (Fri 10:30 a.m.), Houston Christian (Fri 1 p.m.), and North Alabama (Fri 7:15 p.m.), then take on No. 18 Washington (Sat 11:45 a.m.) and UL-Monroe (Sat 4:45 p.m.). LSU enters on a five-match winning streak from the Green Wave Invitational. All matches stream live on LSU Sports YouTube.

🔼 Called Up. Congratulations to former LSU women's soccer star Sophie Kevorkian, who was called to play on the Armenian national team during their upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier against Kazakhstan.
