Cutting Edge. The Cutting Edge with Jack Marucci is back. In this episode, the guys talk about Jayden Daniels' historic rookie season with the Commanders and what makes him special. Plus, analysis of what makes a great athlete, and what characteristics are common among them.

🔼 Downed The Dawgs. The seventh-ranked women’s basketball team defeated Mississippi State 81-67 to improve to 15-0 at home this season. Mikaylah Williams led the Tigers with 22 points, while Flau’Jae Johnson scored 20. They both made four threes in the win. Aneesah Morrow had a big birthday, scoring 18 points and grabbing a whopping 20 rebounds for her 21st double-double of the season.

🔼 Night To Remember. The third-ranked gymnastics team defeated No. 9 Missouri 198.000-197.175. The Tigers became the second team this season to notch the 198.000 mark. They recorded season highs on vault (49.500) and bars (49.425). Kailin Chio won the first all-around title of her collegiate career. Haleigh Bryant scored a season-high 9.95 on floor to take the title. They’ll compete at No. 14 Alabama on Friday.

🔼 Second Half Sorrows. The men’s basketball team fell to Texas 89-58 after the Longhorns dominated the second half. Jordan Sears led the Tigers with 13 points, adding three rebounds and a steal. They’ll hit the road and play at Georgia on Wednesday.

🔼 Mile-Stones. The track & field team had success at the Razorback Invitational over the weekend! Lorena Rangel Batres broke her own program record in the mile, running a 4:33.05. She also took part in the DMR team’s school record 10:51.40 time, alongside Callie Hardy, Garriel White, and Michaela Rose.
