🔼 A New Season. LSU softball opened a new season last night with an 11-3 win over NC State. Jayden Heavener picked up the victory on the mound, while Jalia Lassiter went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Sierra Daniel (2 RBI), Alix Franklin (2 RBI), Maci Bergeron (1 RBI), and Char Lorenz (1 RBI) all contributed to the scoring onslaught.

The Tigers will pick it back up today against Nevada at 3 p.m. from Tiger Park.

🔼 On The Diamond. LSU baseball is the favorite to win the 2026 SEC regular-season title. The Tigers lead all teams with three First-Team All-SEC selections: sophomore outfielder Derek Curiel (2025 National Freshman of the Year), sophomore RHP Casan Evans, and senior RHP Zac Cowan. Junior shortstop Steven Milam and junior outfielder Jake Brown earned Second-Team honors, giving LSU five total preseason all-conference selections—tied with Texas for the most in the league.
