Tigers Win: ESPN Bracketologist Charlie Creme Talks LSU & Previews March Madness

Nobody better than ESPN women's basketball bracketologist Charlie Creme to break down the madness that lies ahead. Charlie joins the latest edition of Tigers Win to tell our listeners where LSU currently stands with three days to go until Selection Sunday. Plus, some insights into the rest of the field.

🔼 Hold Serve. The Tigers (17-2, 4-1 SEC) bring an eight-match win streak and perfect 8-0 home record into a big weekend at LSU Tennis Complex, hosting No. 28 Oklahoma on Friday (5:30 p.m. CT), then No. 11 Texas A&M (noon CT) and New Orleans (4 p.m. CT) in a Sunday doubleheader. LSU is surging after last week's 4-3 upset of No. 2 Texas. Freshman Olaf Pieczkowski earned SEC Player of the Week after clinching that Texas match with a remarkable comeback from 5-2 down in the third set. No. 54 Erik Arutiunian paces the squad at 12-2 in singles with a seven-match win streak. All matches are free admission with live video available.

🔼 Dove In. LSU sophomore Carson Paul is headed to Atlanta across the board after earning NCAA Championship qualifying spots in the 3m (3rd), 1m (6th), and platform (9th) at the Zone D Regional at Texas A&M. Paul was outstanding throughout the three-day competition, posting 822.95 on the 3m, 677.95 on the 1m, and 669.00 on platform. Travis Keith also reached the finals in both the 1m (16th) and platform (11th, season-best prelim score of 335.60) but fell just short of qualifying. Paul joins seven Tiger swimmers already qualified on the men's side, giving LSU eight men heading to the NCAA Championships at McAuley Aquatic Center (March 25-28). The women's nine qualifiers compete March 18-21.

🔼 The Finale. LSU gymnastics will close out the regular season at home tonight at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are moving fast; get yours before they’re gone.

🔼 On Sand. The Sandy Tigs head to Manhattan Beach for one of the toughest weekends on the schedule, facing No. 10 California and No. 1 UCLA on Friday, then No. 9 Loyola Marymount and No. 13 Hawai'i on Saturday. LSU gets a rematch with Cal right away (Friday, 11:30 a.m. CT) before the marquee showdown with top-ranked UCLA at 3 p.m. CT. The Tigers are coming off a 1-3 showing at the MPSF Coast to Coast Classic, where they picked up a win over No. 18 Washington. All matches stream live on the B1G+ Network.

LSU Athletics, in partnership with Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Visit Baton Rouge, announces a new initiative, Death Valley Live, which is set to bring world-class entertainment and special events to one of the most iconic venues in America, Tiger Stadium.
