🔼 Game Time. No. 2 seed LSU women’s basketball begins NCAA Tournament action today, hosting No. 15 seed Jacksonville in a first round matchup at 5 p.m. inside the Maravich Center. The winner of today’s game will face the winner of No. 7 Texas Tech and No. 10 Villanova on Sunday in the PMAC.
🔼 Tulsa Time. LSU gymnastics travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend for the SEC Championships, entering the competition as the No. 2 seed. It is the second straight year that LSU has entered the two-seed at the SEC Championships as the team will look to defend their reigning two-time SEC Champions title. The Tigers have won the meet the last two years.
🔼 Top 10 Win. LSU baseball secured a top-10 win on Thursday night at Alex Box Stadium, beating No. 7 Oklahoma, 7-1, to improve to 16-7 overall and 2-2 in SEC play. Casan Evans was fantastic for the Tigers on the mound, tossing 7.2 innings while striking out 15 Sooners.
🔼 Top 25 Teams. No. 22 LSU softball is prepped and ready for its third consecutive Top 25 series this weekend, traveling to South Carolina for a three-game set against the No. 21 Gamecocks. LSU has a 54-23 all-time record against South Carolina (20-10, 0-3 SEC), including a 20-10 record in games played in Columbia, S.C. While LSU lost the last two games against South Carolina, the Tigers have won seven of the last ten matchups between the two teams.
🔼 Home Court Advantage. No. 7 LSU men’s tennis sticks at home for a pair of SEC showdowns this weekend, first welcoming Arkansas to the LSU Tennis Complex today at 5:30 p.m. before hosting No. 6 Mississippi State in a top-10 battle on Sunday.
LSU Athletics, in partnership with Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Visit Baton Rouge, announces a new initiative, Death Valley Live, which is set to bring world-class entertainment and special events to one of the most iconic venues in America, Tiger Stadium.
