The Real Deal. Softball’s Jalia Lassiter, a transfer outfielder who has recorded 26 hits and 16 RBI for a .333 batting average to start the season for LSU Softball, joins the latest edition of The Real Deal.

🔼 We Are The Champions. The second-ranked LSU gymnastics team won the SEC Championship! They recorded a record-breaking 198.200 score, the best in LSU’s history at the SEC Championships. This is the second-straight title for the Tigers. Haleigh Bryant won the all-around with a 39.725 for her second-straight individual SEC All-Around Title. She also claimed a share of the beam title with Aleah Finnegan.

🔼 Dancing Queens. The women’s basketball team started the NCAA Tournament with a huge 103-48 win over San Diego State! Flau’Jae Johnson led all scorers with 22 points, her fourth-straight tournament game with 20+ points. Aneesah Morrow recorded her 27th double-double of the year with 12 points and rebounds. The Tigers will host Florida State in the Round of 32 today at 5 p.m. on ESPN.

🔼 Cats > Dawgs. The third-ranked softball team took two from No. 13 Georgia on the road over the weekend! They defeated the Bulldogs 5-3 on Friday as Danieca Coffey started a two-out, seven-rally with an RBI. The Tigers scored nine unanswered runs on Saturday to get the 10-2 win in six innings. Jalia Lassiter went 4-for-4 at the plate with her first career grand slam in the fourth inning. On Sunday, the Tigers fell 11-3 as Sydney Berzon was handed her first loss this season. They’ll return to Louisiana to play at UL-L tomorrow at 6 p.m.

🔼 Finished Strong. LSU women’s swimming and diving team concluded the 2025 NCAA Championships with a silver medal in platform diving by Montserrat Gutierrez Lavenant. The team finished 22nd overall, with Lavenant’s All-American performance and a top-16 All-American finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
