The Real Deal. Shakeem McKay, a 2024 Paris Olympian from Trinidad and Tobago and a USTFCCCA First Team All-American, joins the latest episode of The Real Deal.

🔼 Brace Yourself. Women’s Tennis rookie Candace Brace has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week! She had dominant singles and doubles performances in last week’s wins over No. 67 Kentucky and No. 7 Tennessee. This is her second Freshman of the Week honor this season.

🔼 Play It Again. The guitar trophy is coming back to Baton Rouge! The women’s golf team won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate for the second time in the last three seasons. They tied host South Carolina for the title at 11-over. Aine Donegan and Josefin Widal tied for third to lead the Tigers individually.

🔼 Playing In The Yard. LSU softball run-ruled ULM 12-4 last night! Tori Edwards had a night to remember with two home runs and a career-high six RBI after going 3-for-3 at the plate. This was LSU’s third-straight run-rule win. They’ll host the LSU Round Robin throughout the weekend.

🔼 Beware Of The Bear. LSU baseball toppled North Dakota State 13-3 to win their eighth-straight game! Jared Jones did his best Tori Edwards impression and belted two home runs, collecting five RBI. William Schmidt earned the win, pitching four innings with seven strikeouts. The Tigers will host North Alabama throughout the weekend.

🔼 Among The Best. Women’s basketball’s Mikaylah Williams has been named a top-five finalist for the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year award! She has 11 games this season with at least 20 points and two with at least 30. She’s averaging 17.5 points per game.
