🔼 Late Night Magic. The Tigers roared back from a 6-1 deficit to demolish Southern 16-6 in seven innings at Alex Box Stadium, powered by four home runs and 13 hits. Derek Curiel's grand slam in the third cut the deficit to 6-5, and LSU exploded for seven runs in the fourth, highlighted by John Pearson's two-run blast and Steven Milam's second solo homer of the night. Curiel and Pearson each finished with four RBI, while Milam went 3-for-3 with two homers and two RBI. Danny Lachenmayer (1-0) earned the win with a scoreless inning on just 13 pitches. LSU (20-10) heads to Knoxville for an SEC series against Tennessee starting Friday at 4:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.

🔼 Best of the Week. Junior sprinter Jaiden Reid and freshman Athaleyha Hinckson picked up SEC weekly awards after standout debuts at the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables. Reid earned Men's Runner of the Week after clocking an SEC-leading and NCAA No. 2 time of 10.10 seconds in his 100-meter outdoor debut, marking back-to-back weeks a Tiger has claimed the honor after freshman Malachi Austin won it at the LSU Opener. Hinckson took Women's Freshman of the Week after winning the 100 meters in 11.25 seconds, a time that ranks No. 1 in the SEC and No. 2 in the NCAA. The indoor First Team All-American's time also set a Guyanese U20 national record and ranks third among U20 runners worldwide in 2026.

🔼 In the Rankings. LSU softball remains No. 20 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll and sits at No. 22 in the NFCA Coaches Poll after a 1-2 series against No. 3 Oklahoma, softened by a dominant 9-0 run-rule win over Louisiana Tech earlier in the week. LSU showed plenty of pop at the plate with eight home runs across the weekend, batting .263 on 26 hits, while the pitching staff posted a 2.85 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 27.0 innings.
Up next: a three-game series at Missouri, April 2-4.

🔼 Teed Off. LSU women’s golf freshman Ryleigh Knaub continues to impress, carding three identical rounds of 69 for a 9-under 207 to tie for third at the ULM Invitational, marking her second top-five finish of the season after placing fourth at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Knaub racked up 14 birdies across the tournament, fourth-most in the field. Senior Edit Hertzman also had a strong showing, finishing solo fifth at 4-under 212, highlighted by a closing 68 with six birdies, good for her first top-five of the season. Sophomore Josefin Widal rallied with an eight-birdie final-round 68 to climb 33 spots to T36.
The Tigers head to Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., for the SEC Championships beginning April 17.

🔼 Dove In. LSU men’s swimming and diving brought home seven All-America selections from the NCAA Championships, led by First Team honorees Jere Hribar and Carson Paul. Hribar earned a silver medal in the 100-free with a school-record 40.33, while Paul posted his best career NCAA finish at fourth on the platform (404.20). Hribar added three Second Team nods for his 10th-place 200-free finish and his contributions to both the 200-medley relay and the 200-free relay. LSU finished 16th overall with 61 points, the program's best showing since 2023.

🔼 Welcome Home. Coach Kim Mulkey bolstered her staff with the hire of Gabe Lazo, who comes to Baton Rouge after two seasons at Tennessee that included a Sweet 16 run and the nation's No. 1 or 2-ranked high school signing class, plus the top portal class in 2025. Lazo replaces Gary Redus II, who left to become head coach at Rutgers. Named the 2025 World Exposure Report Assistant Coach of the Year, Lazo brings nine years of college coaching experience across five schools, with five postseason appearances, a conference championship, and a conference tournament title on his resume.

🔼 Teeing It Up. Sophomore Rocio Tejedo and incoming freshman Raegan Denton will represent LSU at the 2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur, competing against 72 of the world's best amateurs over 54 holes beginning today. Tejedo, ranked No. 47 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, is making her third ANWA appearance and looking to reach the final round at Augusta National for the first time. Denton, ranked No. 43 in the WAGR, makes her ANWA debut riding eight wins over the past two years, including the Women's Australian Master of the Amateurs. She'll join the Tigers for the 2026-27 season. The first two rounds at Champions Retreat air on Golf Channel (Wednesday-Thursday, 12:30-2:30 p.m. CT), with the final round at Augusta National on NBC Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT.
