The Real Deal: Lauren Brooker, LSU Volleyball

Get to know LSU junior setter Lauren Brooker ahead of the Purple and White scrimmage inside the PMAC. Brooker, the Calabasas, Calif. native, played in 102 sets and started in 17 of the 27 matches she appeared in during the 2025 season, leading the offense with 6.27 assists per set (640 total) and contributed 29 kills, 31 blocks, 11 aces and 142 digs.

In LSU’s defeat of No. 12/11 Arizona, 3-1, on Saturday, Cellura registered her fifth complete game of the season and moved to 6-4 in the circle. Cellura had three strikeouts and gave up one unearned run and seven hits on the day. Cellura relinquished one walk, bringing her total to three over her last 35.1 innings.

🔼 On Deck. No. 24 LSU baseball hosts Northwestern State today for a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch on SEC Network+, riding momentum from a week that showcased the Tigers' explosive lineup. Jake Brown leads the team with 15 home runs and 46 RBI, ranking No. 3 in the SEC in both categories, while Derek Curiel is hitting .359 with 39 RBI to rank among the league's best across multiple categories.

🔼 Welcome Home. LSU men's basketball has added Damon Stoudamire to Coach Will Wade's staff for the 2026-27 season, bringing one of the sport's most decorated résumés to Baton Rouge. Stoudamire spent 13 seasons in the NBA and most recently served as head coach at Georgia Tech for three seasons. He also led Pacific for five years, earning the 2020 Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year award as the top minority coach in Division I. As a player, Stoudamire was a consensus All-American at Arizona and was the seventh overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft.
