The Powerhouse. Competition in the SEC is second to none and the LSU baseball team has battled through the first 15 games to a 10-5 record. Freshmen Casan Evans and Derek Curiel have exemplified Coach Johnson’s belief as the rookies have taken on significant roles, improving every single day through rigorous competition among their teammates and the best conference in the country.

🔼 Tigers Topple Tide. LSU baseball clinched the series over No. 15 Alabama on Friday, winning 4-3. Anthony Eyanson recorded 12 strikeouts in six innings, limiting the Crimson Tide to one run. The Tigers eventually fell 7-4 in the series finale, despite Jared Jones’ 13th home run of the season.

🔼 All-American Tigs. Four LSU gymnasts earned All-America honors from the WCGA! Haleigh Bryant earned honors on vault, floor, and the all-around. Kailin Chio earned vault and all-around honors. Konnor McClain earned honors on beam, while Aleah Finnegan earned honors on floor.

🔼 Tiger Trio. Three former Tigers have begun play in the 2025 NBA Playoffs! Naz Reid and the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Lakers in game one on Saturday. Tari Eason and the Houston Rockets played the Golden State Warriors last night. The final Tiger is Ben Simmons and the Los Angeles Clippers, who fell to the Denver Nuggets by two points on Saturday.

🔼 Tokyo Time. Women’s track & field’s Tima Godbless won the 200m invite at the Tom Jones Invitational! Her time of 22.55s qualifies for the World Athletic Championships in Tokyo later this year. She sits No. 4 in the nation. Michaela Rose also had a big weekend, clocking a PR in the 1500m elite section at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Her time sits No. 2 in LSU performance-list history. She also won the 800m with a collegiate leading 1:58.37 time.
