🔼 Midweek W. LSU baseball topped UNO 10-7 last night at Alex Box Stadium to move to 24-18 on the year. The Tigers head to Starkville this weekend for a three-game series at Mississippi State, with game one getting underway on Friday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.

🔼 Instant Impact. LSU men's basketball transfer Max Mackinnon earned first-team All-Louisiana honors and was named the state's Newcomer of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. The Australian guard, who transferred from Portland for his final college season, led the Tigers with 15.7 points per game, the best scoring average of his college career, while averaging 17.0 points in SEC play. Mackinnon hit double figures in 24 of 31 games, topped 20 points 10 times, and closed the season averaging 20.4 points over the final five games. His 87.7 percent free throw mark ranks sixth in LSU single-season history.

🔼 In the Circle. LSU senior Paytn Monticelli earned SEC Pitcher of the Week honors after going 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA across 7.0 innings in the Ole Miss series. It’s the Tigers' first SEC weekly honor of the season and the first SEC Pitcher of the Week award for an LSU pitcher since Maribeth Gorsuch in 2020. Monticelli allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out five, retiring the first five batters she faced in both the series opener and finale.

🔼 All-Tournament. Congratulations to LSU women’s tennis freshmen Carolina Kuhl and Addison Lanton for landing on the SEC All-Tournament team after LSU’s incredible run to the finals.

🔼 Top 10. The LSU women's track and field team held steady at No. 4 in the nation while the men checked in at No. 7 in the latest USTFCCCA outdoor national rankings. The Tigers have 10 individuals and four relays ranked in the top 10 nationally this outdoor season.

🔼 Tee Off. No. 8 LSU men's golf tees off at the SEC Championship in St. Simons Island, Georgia today through April 26, looking to build on last year's second-place stroke play finish. The Tigers have been dominant all season with top-five finishes in all nine tournaments with three wins, and enter with four players averaging under 70 strokes per round: Árni Sveinsson (69.52), Jay Mendell (69.63), Noah McWilliams (69.63), and Matty Dodd-Berry (69.96). Three rounds of stroke play open the week before the top teams advance to match play on April 25-26, with the championship match airing live on SEC Network on Sunday at 7 a.m. CT.

LSU softball climbed in all four major polls this week, checking in at No. 15 (ESPN/USA Softball), No. 20 (NFCA/GoRout), No. 14 (Softball America), and No. 17 (D1Softball) after a perfect 4-0 weekend that included a no-hitter at UL Lafayette and the program's first sweep of Ole Miss since 2015.
