The Powerhouse. Competition in the SEC is second to none and the LSU baseball team has battled through the first 15 games to a 10-5 record. Freshmen Casan Evans and Derek Curiel have exemplified Coach Johnson’s belief as the rookies have taken on significant roles, improving every single day through rigorous competition among their teammates and the best conference in the country.

The YETI Game Changer of the Week is National Champion Kailin Chio! She finished her freshman season as the 2025 NCAA Vault Champion after earning a score of 9.975. She became the first Tiger to win a vault title since 2021.

🔼 Keep An Eye Out. Three Tigers made appearances on national baseball awards watch lists, released by the College Baseball Foundation. Kade Anderson and Casan Evans are on the Pitcher of the Year watch list, while Steven Milam is on the Brooks Wallace Award watch list, presented to the nation’s best shortstop.

The Tigers will host Northwestern State tonight at 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network+.

🔼 Playing Fetch. It’s time for Bark in the Park at Tiger Park! LSU softball is hosting McNeese tonight at 6 p.m. and your pups are welcome to watch! There will be a dog toy giveaway and a special prize for the dog that’s best dressed. Dogs must remain in the Tiger Terrace or grass areas.

🔼 Yeah, Mon. Former Tiger Mondo Duplantis has been named the 2025 Laureus World Sportsman of the Year. He becomes just the second track & field athlete to win the award, joining Usain Bolt. He also becomes the second former NCAA athlete to win the honor, joining Tiger Woods. That is some legendary company!

🔼 Moving Quick. It only took three LPGA starts this year for former Tiger Ingrid Lindblad to win a championship! She won the JM Eagle LA Championship title with a score of 21-under 267. The win, worth $562,500, assures her tour status and a spot in the first major of the season - the Chevron Championships.
