The YETI Game Changer of the Week is baseball freshman Derek Curiel! He helped the Tigers to a series win over No. 5 Tennessee as he hit .417 with two doubles, one home run, three runs, and six RBI. He went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate on Sunday. He leads the team with a .373 batting average this season. His performance also earned him SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

🔼 Golden Ticket. Softball senior Danieca Coffey was awarded a Golden Ticket for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League! The Golden Ticket signifies her as one of 12 athletes that are guaranteed to be drafted during the AUSL College Draft Show on Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. She will join four former Tigers that have already been drafted — Aliyah Andrews, Ciara Briggs, Carley Hoover, and Sahvanna Jaquish.

🔼 Chomped ‘Em. The 10th-ranked softball team took the series from No. 8 Florida! The Tigers put up an eight-run sixth inning to secure the 10-2 win last night. It was the first time the Tigers defeated the Gators in a three-game series since 2019.

🔼 Back At It. The second-ranked Tiger baseball team is back in action tonight! They’ll host Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+. The Tigers came in at No. 2 in all the major polls this week.

🔼 Young Guns. LSU welcomed the 2025 class of Louisiana Young Heroes, a program recognizing outstanding high school students who have excelled academically, served their communities, and overcome adversity. The students toured the LSU Football Operations Building and Tiger Stadium, meeting with LSU football stars. The 2025 honorees include Jessica Anderson, Gabrielle “Gabby” Essex, Mateo Guerrero, Jared Lane, William Matthews, and Ja’Nika Stanley.
