Plus: GameDay comes to Death Valley.

The game will get underway at 6:30 p.m. and air nationally on ABC as Coach Kiffin makes his Tiger debut. The Tigers beat Clemson 17-10 in last year's opener in Clemson and now welcome the Tigers back to Tiger Stadium for the return of the home-and-home.

LSU is 24-4 in night games at Tiger Stadium dating back to 2021. The network also announced that LSU's Sept. 19 road game at Ole Miss will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

🎥 LSU+: EYE TO EYE

Eye to Eye: Addison Lanton

Get to know LSU women's tennis star freshman Addison Lanton, a key contributor to the Tigers' run to a second-straight Elite Eight. Entering as one of the nation’s top 25 recruits – and the No. 1 player in Illinois – Lanton has made her mark during her first season in Baton Rouge.

🔼 Six Straight. LSU women's golf punched its ticket to the NCAA Championships for a program-record sixth consecutive year, finishing fourth at the NCAA Waco Regional with a one-over 841 total. Francesca Fiorellini was the Tigers' standout performer, closing with a birdie on 18 to finish at 5-under 205 and claim a share of third-place individual honors. Taylor Riley carded a final-round 69, her second straight under-par round, while Ryleigh Knaub added a 71. LSU joins SMU, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Tennessee in advancing to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California, beginning May 22.

🔼 GameDay in Death Valley. ESPN's College GameDay is coming to Baton Rouge for LSU's season opener against Clemson on Saturday, Sept. 5, and it's a milestone broadcast set to mark the show's 500th road edition as ESPN enters its 40th year of GameDay. It will be the 15th time the show has visited the LSU campus and the first time since November 2024.

🔼 Home Finale. LSU baseball closes out its home schedule this weekend against No. 9/19/20 Florida, with games today and Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT and Saturday at 2 p.m., all on SEC Network+. The Tigers enter riding strong individual performances: Derek Curiel hit .538 last week and ranks second in the SEC in hits, Steven Milam has reached base safely in 30 straight games, and freshman Omar Serna Jr. has been on base in 18 consecutive games. Florida counters with one of the SEC's top pitching staffs and 73 home runs on the season. The series also doubles as a Senior Day weekend, with coach Jay Johnson calling it an opportunity for his players to give everything they have in their final home games.

🔼 The Real Deal. Sierra Daniel has done nothing but make an impact on the field. In 54 games started, Daniel is batting .340 with 55 hits, nine doubles, 41 runs scored, 30 RBI, four homers, and four triples…and she’s not done yet as the Baton Rouge Regional gets underway tomorrow.

🔼 Beyond the Diamond. LSU outfielder Chris Stanfield has been named to the 2026 SEC Baseball Community Service Team for the third time in his career, a distinction that reflects a commitment to giving back that has defined his college years at both Auburn and LSU. Stanfield launched his "Be The 1" Campaign at LSU, donating $100 to the Miracle League in Baton Rouge for every extra-base hit or stolen base he records, and previously raised more than $10,000 for the Miracle League of East Alabama while at Auburn. A finalist for the 2026 Tony Gwynn Community Service Trophy and a member of the 2026 Lou Gehrig Community Impact Team, Stanfield also volunteers with local elementary schools and hospitals and participates in the Out of Darkness Walk in support of suicide prevention.

🔼 On Fire. Paul Skenes continues to absolutely dominate in the pros!

🔼 Tigers in Class. LSU's Cox Communications Academic Center has named six Student-Athletes of the Month for May 2026, recognizing standouts across softball, volleyball, men's and women's track and field. Softball sophomore Alix Franklin earned the nod for her relentless work ethic and strong performance in Spanish, while mechanical engineering major Makeriah Harris of women's track and field impressed staff with her ability to balance academic, athletic, and ROTC responsibilities. Men's track and field seniors Amal Glasgow and Jordan Turner were both recognized for their proactive approach to academics, and women's track and field junior Keliza Smith stood out as an independent worker who often arrives with her assignments already completed. Volleyball senior Ella Hemmings rounded out the group, recognized for her leadership both on the court and in the classroom.
