Tigers Pause To Honor and Reflect
Happy Memorial Day LSU Family. Today, we pause to honor and reflect on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country and allowing us to have the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

🔼 The Waiting Game. As one of the top teams all season and the unanimous top-ranked team over the final weeks, the LSU baseball game will now play the waiting game to see which teams are headed to The Box this weekend.
The Tigers dropped a heartbreaker to Ole Miss in the SEC semifinals on Saturday afternoon in Hoover.
Last night, the NCAA committee announced Baton Rouge as one of the 16 regional sites, with the full 64-team field set to be announced this morning at 11 am CST on ESPN2.

🔼 Alexander The Great. One of the greatest to ever put on a Tiger uniform will be honored this fall as the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame Committee unanimously approved the jersey retirement for Charles Alexander.
Alexander was the first 4,000-yard rusher in Southeastern Conference history and a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist.
The No. 4 worn by Alexander will join the No. 20 worn by Billy Cannon, the No. 37 worn by Tommy Casanova and the No. 21 worn by Jerry Stovall as retired jerseys in the LSU football program. All four numbers are displayed on the façade in the south end zone of Tiger Stadium.
Affectionately known by LSU fans as “Alexander the Great”, Alexander has been enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame (2012) along with LSU Sports Hall of Fame (1989) and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (1993). He’s also a member of LSU football’s Team of the Century.

🔼 The Region’s Finest. After playing as one of the best teams in the country all spring long, the LSU men’s golf team had three of it’s standouts honored over the weekend.
Algot Kleen, Jay Mendell and Arni Sveinsson were all named to the NCAA Division I PING All-Southeast Region team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
🎥 LSU+: THE REAL DEAL
Algot Kleen earned SEC Newcomer of the Year after transferring to LSU from
East Tennessee State and now just made his professional debut
at the Soudal Open in Belgium this past weekend.
