Look no further than LSU softball’s Tori Edwards.
The dominant freshman added to her impressive first-year resume this week, being named a First Team All-American by D1Softball on Tuesday.
Edwards, the 2025 SEC Freshman of the Year, ranked second on the team with a .383 batting average behind 62 hits, while also racking up 73 RBI. Edwards set program single-season records with 18 home runs and a .802 slugging percentage.

🔼 Regional Ready. Don’t put away the grills yet, we’ve got some tailgating at The Box to do!
After being announced as a regional host on Sunday, the LSU baseball team learned its NCAA Tournament fate, being named the No. 6 national seed for the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament.
The Tigers will play host to No. 2 seed Dallas Baptist, No. 3 seed Rhode Island and LSU’s first round opponent No. 4 seeded Arkansas-Little Rock.
The No. 6 National Seed marks LSU’s second appearance among the Top 8 seeds in the past three seasons. The Tigers were the No. 5 National Seed in 2023, when they claimed their seventh College World Series title.
LSU is a Top 8 National Seed for the 12th time since 1999, when the NCAA adopted its current 64-team tournament format.

🤔 TIGER TRIVIA

Earlier this month, former Tiger Alex Bregman eclipsed the 200th HR of his MLB career.
He is only the third former LSU standout to blast 200+ HRs in the big leagues. Who are the only other two to reach that milestone?
