What else is mixed into today’s Bayou Brew?

📈 Rising Tigers

🐯 And so much more!

🔼 Rising Tigers. LSU softball climbed to No. 18 in both major polls heading into the SEC Tournament, fueled by a dominant 4-0 week that included three shutouts and the historic 25-0 rout of Auburn. The Tigers hit .491 as a team and outscored opponents 51-2, while the pitching staff posted a 0.58 ERA and held opponents to a .151 average. LSU's RPI sits at No. 11 with the nation's No. 8 strength of schedule. The eighth-seeded Tigers carry a five-game winning streak into this afternoon’s second-round matchup against No. 9 Georgia at 6:30 p.m. CT in Lexington.

🔼 Midweek W. LSU baseball exploded for six runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 13-6 rout of Tulane. Steven Milam drove in four runs on a pair of doubles, John Pearson added three RBI, including a two-run homer in the seventh, and Cade Arrambide launched a two-run shot in the opening frame. All nine starters reached base multiple times as the Tigers pounded out 16 hits. Danny Lachenmayer earned the win with three innings of one-run ball and five strikeouts. LSU heads to Athens for a three-game series against Georgia starting on Friday at 5 p.m. CT.

🔼 Field Set. LSU women's basketball will headline the Island Division of the Women's Fort Myers Tip-Off on Nov. 27-28, facing NC State and Villanova at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. LSU checks in at No. 4 in ESPN's way-too-early 2026-27 rankings, with Villanova at No. 20 and NC State at No. 22. TCU, Indiana, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech round out the Shell Division. All games will air nationwide on ION.

🔼 Top Five. LSU track and field remains firmly among the nation's elite, with the men at No. 4 and the women at No. 5 in the latest USTFCCCA outdoor rankings. The Tigers boast 13 individuals and three relays ranked in the national top 10, led by Ella Onojuvwevwo's NCAA-best 49.59 in the 400 meters. Shawnti Jackson cracked the top three nationally in the 100 meters after her debut 10.93 at the LSU Invitational, and Princesse Hyman sits No. 6 in the discus.

🔼 Giving Back. LSU pitcher Tatum Clopton was named to the 2026 SEC Softball Community Service Team for the second time in her career, becoming just the seventh player in program history to earn the honor multiple times. The fifth-year senior served as Executive Director of Special Events for LSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, planning community service events throughout the year. Her volunteer work included visits to Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, the Down Syndrome Awareness Group's Family Zoo Day, the MLK Day of Service with the Gardere Initiative, and department-wide projects like the Thankful Tiger Food Drive. On the field, Clopton carries a 7-1 record with a 2.53 ERA.

Geaux from game day to beach day in one easy drive. Spend your mornings building sandcastles and spotting dolphins, your afternoons paddleboarding or exploring coastal trails, and your evenings enjoying fresh Gulf seafood as the sun sets over the water. From laid-back beach days to unforgettable family adventures, it’s the kind of summer getaway that feels both exciting and easy.

Remember Alabama’s Beaches Rule #88: “The best summer plans are the ones you don’t overthink.” When you’re ready to trade the everyday routine for sunshine and salty breezes, Alabama’s Beaches are just a short road trip away.
