Good morning, Tigers.
What else is mixed into today’s Bayou Brew?
🎾 Regional Recognition
⚾ Summer League
🐯 And so much more!

🔼 Day One. LSU had a huge opening day at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, highlighted by Jack Larriviere landing on the javelin podium in third at 77.91 meters to bring home a medal and Jaiden Reid breaking 10 seconds in the 100 meters for the first time with a 9.95, third on the LSU all-time list and tying the 14-year-old Caymanian national record.
Reid also posted the fastest 200-meter semifinal time at 20.05, and Matthew Sophia advanced to the 110-meter hurdles final. Amal Glasgow punched through to the 400-meter final, while the 4x100 and 4x400 relays both qualified for Friday's finals, with the 4x400 winning its heat in 3:00.54.

🔼 Regional Recognition. LSU men's tennis came away from the ITA Southern Region awards with Danny Bryan named Coach of the Year and sophomore Andrej Loncarevic earning Most Improved Player. Bryan guided the Tigers to a 26-7 record, a No. 5 national ranking, and a victory over No. 2 Texas, the program's highest-ranked win since 1998. LSU hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2009 and advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals. Loncarevic jumped from 14 singles wins as a freshman to 24 as a sophomore, delivering seven match-clinching victories and earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
🔼 A Standout Campaign. LSU men’s golf earned a Golf Week All-American honorable mention after his phenomenal junior campaign.
Geaux from game day to beach day in one easy drive. Spend your mornings building sandcastles and spotting dolphins, your afternoons paddleboarding or exploring coastal trails, and your evenings enjoying fresh Gulf seafood as the sun sets over the water. From laid-back beach days to unforgettable family adventures, it’s the kind of summer getaway that feels both exciting and easy.
Remember Alabama’s Beaches Rule #88: “The best summer plans are the ones you don’t overthink.” When you’re ready to trade the everyday routine for sunshine and salty breezes, Alabama’s Beaches are just a short road trip away.

🔼 Regional Standouts. LSU baseball placed four players on the ABCA All-South Region First Team: catcher Cade Arrambide, outfielders Jake Brown and Derek Curiel, and shortstop Steven Milam. Arrambide led the Tigers with 18 home runs and 51 RBI, including a school-record four homers in a single game at Tennessee. Curiel paced the squad with a .353 batting average and earned Second-Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors. Brown hit 16 homers and drove in 49 despite missing the final 17 games with a hand injury, while Milam committed just four errors at shortstop in 214 chances for a .981 fielding percentage.

🔼 Summer League. Five LSU baseball players are spending the summer in collegiate leagues across the country, with Gavin Guidry, Ethan Plog, and Reagan Ricken headed to the Cape Cod League while William Patrick and Jack Ruckert suit up for the Healdsburg Prune Packers in the Pacific Empire League.

🔼 Welcome to Baton Rouge. LSU women's tennis added redshirt sophomore transfer Aya El Aouni from UCF. The Casablanca, Morocco, native climbed as high as No. 83 in the ITA national rankings during her freshman season with the Knights, earning All-Big 12 Freshman Team and Doubles Second Team honors. El Aouni brings professional experience with three singles and two doubles titles on the ITF circuit and career-high WTA rankings of No. 598 in singles and No. 461 in doubles.
