No better way to prepare for this weekend in Omaha than reliving the season
so far and there’s no better place to do that than LSU+ and The Powerhouse.
Each day this week, LSU+ is unlocking an episode from
this spring for 24 hours, today’s episode?
Episode III: Tough

🔼 Movin’ On. Opening day of NCAA Championships proved to be moving day for several Tigers as the LSU men’s track & field squad advanced three individuals and one relay to Friday’s finals.
The men’s 4×100-meter relay delivered an exciting start for the Tigers as they got the day started for LSU. The quartet of Jahiem Stern, Myles Thomas, Jaiden Reid and Jelani Watkins put down the No. 2 time in the program’s performance-list history with 38.14 seconds to finish second in the heat and advance.
Next up for the Tigers was Jahiem Stern in the hurdles. The junior took second in his heat with a new PR and No. 3 time in LSU PL history of 13.29 seconds to advance to the final.
In the men’s 100 meter both Watkins and Reid returned to the track to advance in their second event of the day. Watkins clocked a time of 10.02 seconds in his heat to win and advance to the final on Friday. A heat later, Reid clocked a new PR of 10.02 seconds to advance with Watkins.

🔼 Teein’ It Up. Today in Western PA, two former Tigers will be teein’ it up against the best the country has to offer.
Sam Burns and Philip Barbaree Jr. are among the field at the US Open at Oakmont Country Club this week.
Barbaree is set to tee off at 7:57 am CST, while Burns will take off at 12:14 pm CST.
🔼 Young Guns. It’s award season in college baseball and the Tigers continue to pile up the accolades.
🔼 Regionally Recognized. The baseball boys aren’t the only ones bringing home awards this week.
Freshman Cadence Brace and Senior Gaby Rivera of the LSU Women’s Tennis team were featured in the Southern Region yearly award honors, as announced by the ITA on Tuesday morning.
Brace was named the Southern Region Rookie of the Year, while Rivera received the region’s Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award.
🤔 TIGER TRIVIA

Kade Anderson was one of five Tigers to earn All-American accolades from Perfect Game on Wednesday, being named to the First Team.
His single-season strikeout total ranks third only to Paul Skenes (209 in 2023) and Ben McDonald (202 in 1989).
How many punchouts does Anderson have this spring?
Got a guess?
