🔼 On Par. Sam Burns finished second at the U.S. Open over the weekend, coming one stroke shy of Wyndham Clark. Burns shot a 67 on Sunday en route to his career-best finish at the U.S. Open.

🔼 To Wimbledon. Congratulations to LSU women’s tennis’ Ella McDonald, whose strong week last week secured her a spot in Wimbledon. The famed tournament gets underway on Monday, June 29.

🔼 Welcome to Baton Rouge. LSU track and field head coach Dennis Shaver has landed a major addition in jumper Ciara Gray, a nine-time LHSAA Outdoor Championships winner out of Jonesboro-Hodge High School. Gray was recently named Outstanding Field Athlete on the LSWA Girls All-State Track Team after scoring 38 individual points and winning gold in the triple jump, long jump and 300-meter hurdles at the state meet. She already owns the all-time LHSAA record in the girls' triple jump at 12.74m, and she led Jonesboro-Hodge to its first-ever state title in female athletics in 2025.
