Four LSU Tigers heard their names selected in the first three rounds of the MLB Draft on Sunday, led by Kade Anderson, who was the third overall selection by the Seattle Mariners.

Chase Shores went in the second round to the Los Angeles Angels, followed by Anthony Eyanson (Red Sox) and Ethan Frey (Astros) in the third round.

🔼 Getting The Nod. For the second year in a row, Paul Skenes will get the nod as the starting pitcher for the National League in this week’s MLB All-Star game, scheduled for Tuesday night in Atlanta.

On the season, the former LSU standout has a 2.01 ERA through 20 starts, racking up 131 strikeouts in 121 innings of work.

First pitch on Tuesday is set for 8:05 pm on FOX.

🔼 Golden Girls. You know what’s better than winning a gold? Winning ✌️ of them!

A pair of Tigers each picked up golds this past weekend as LSU women's golfers Rocio Tejedo and Lucia Iraola both helped their home country of Spain to victories.

Tejedo was a part of the Spanish team that won gold at the European Ladies Championship, while Iraola was a part of the Girls Amatuer Team victory.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 4️⃣7️⃣ DAYS

It was the game that started the hype train that concluded with a national championship.

September 7, 2019.

Joe Burrow and the Tigers walked into Austin and piled up 45 points in a top-10 road win over the Longhorns, 45-38.

In that game, Burrow tossed for 4️⃣7️⃣1 yards and four TDs. It is the fourth-highest single game passing day in LSU history.
