Good morning, Tigers. LSU will retire the jersey of Bert Jones, the first all-America quarterback in program history, on Nov. 14 when the Tigers host Texas in Tiger Stadium. Jones compiled a 26-6-1 record as LSU's starter from 1970-72, led the Tigers to the 1970 SEC Championship, and finished fourth in the 1972 Heisman Trophy voting.

He was selected No. 2 overall in the 1973 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts and earned NFL MVP honors in 1976.

🔼 Welcome to Baton Rouge. Joseph DeRosier joins LSU track & field from Florida A&M, where the SWAC 110-meter hurdles champion clocked a personal-best 13.41 at the NCAA East First Round. He also holds a 60-meter hurdles PR of 7.72 seconds.

Sofia Francini arrives from Colorado after one season with the Buffaloes. Francini finished 10th at the CIF State Cross Country Championships in 2024 with a 5,000-meter PR of 17:48.4.

Francisco Marques transfers from Grand Canyon, where he finished second at the Mountain West Outdoor Championship in the 110-meter hurdles. The Portuguese U23 champion in the event holds a personal-best of 13.68 seconds.
