⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 4️⃣3️⃣ DAYS

This one’s for the old school LSU fans who know all too well the physical nature of good ole #4️⃣3️⃣ Eddie Ray.
Ray was a two-time All-SEC performer that helped the Tigers to a 9-1 record and the #7 national ranking during his senior season of 1969.
He was selected in the fourth round of the 1970 NFL Draft, where he went to play six seasons with four different organizations. He piled up 966 total yards and 11 TDs in his NFL career.
🔼 In The Hunt. 18 holes down, 54 to go.
After Day One of the 2025 Open Championship, former LSU standout Sam Burns finds himself in a familiar position on the leaderboard.
Burns fired a one-under in Thursday’s opening round to sit in 20th place. He is just one of 33 golfers to go under-par on the day.
Today, Burns will play in one of the final 10 groups in the afternoon in Ireland, which means an 8:48 a.m. CT tee time in Baton Rouge.

🔼 Path To The Pros. The path to the pros didn’t stop earlier this week with the MLB Draft for LSU baseball.
On Wednesday, Tiger catcher Luis Hernandez, who helped lead the Tigers to the 2025 NCAA National Championship, signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Twins.
Hernandez, a senior from Gurabo, Puerto Rico, played in 54 games (49 starts) this season as LSU’s primary catcher, batting .270 (47-for-174) with 11 doubles, one triple, nine homers, 33 RBI and 32 runs.
He batted .351 (13-for-37) in LSU’s 11 NCAA Tournament games with two doubles, two homers, eight RBI and 10 runs.
🔼 Leading The Way. Four LSU student-athletes will join student-athletes from all 16 Southeastern Conference schools for a meeting of the SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council in Atlanta Thursday and Friday at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta.
Meeting attendees include representatives from the SEC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Football Leadership Council and Men’s and Women’s Basketball Leadership Council.
Representing LSU at the meeting will be football player DJ Chester, men’s basketball player Jalen Reed, soccer athlete Kelsey Major and softball player Tatum Clopton.
