Bayou Brew 7/2: That's A Wrap

Plus: Moving on at Wimbledon.

Good morning, Tigers. Happy Independence Day Weekend, Tigers! We’ll be back in your inbox on Monday, July 6. Have a fantastic holiday weekend!

What else is mixed into today’s Bayou Brew?

🎾 Moving On
📸 That’s A Wrap
🐯 And so much more!

🔼 Moving On. Congratulations to former Tiger Neal Skupski and his doubles partner, Christian Harrison, for their come-from-behind victory in the opening round of Wimbledon!

🔼 To The Future. Two former LSU pitchers who helped deliver the 2025 College World Series title are bound for Philadelphia: Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson have both been named to the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game roster, set for July 12 at Citizens Bank Park. Anderson, now MLB's No. 5 overall prospect with Seattle, is 8-0 with a 1.22 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 13 starts at Double-A, while Eyanson has combined for a 0.88 ERA across High-A and Double-A stops in the Red Sox organization. Both were first-team All-Americans and key contributors to LSU's eighth national championship in 2025.

🔼 That’s A Wrap. The 2025-26 athletic year is in the books! Take a look back at some of the best moments from June.

🔼 Five Years & Counting. LSU's NILSU program is celebrating five years at the forefront of college athletics' NIL era, marked by landmark deals including Nike's Blue Ribbon Elite NIL program launch and a first-of-its-kind jersey patch partnership with Woodside Energy. What began with a Times Square launch featuring Olivia Dunne has grown into a full ecosystem, from the third-floor Brand hub inside Tiger Stadium to NILSU MAX, a dedicated entity sourcing deals for Tiger student-athletes.
