The YETI Game Changer of the Week is LSU women’s basketball student-athlete MiLaysia Fulwiley, who is currently playing for Team USA at the FIBA 3×3 Nations League in Chile.

🔼 In Good Company. While it’s still nine months away, the 2026 NFL Draft is still being speculated on a daily basis.

This week, ESPN’s Jordan Reid gave some love to our guy Garrett Nussmeier as one of four strong favorites to land as the top pick in next year’s event.

🔼 Off And Running. New LSU women’s hoops star MiLaysia Fulwiley and her USA Basketball 3×3 teammates are off and running in Chile.

The six Americans started play at the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Nationsl League America Conference, going 2-1 on the first day, dropping a tough 15-13 decision to Canada, before rolling past the Cayman Islands (22-2) and Argentina (21-5)

Fulwiley finished with eight points on the day.

The FIBA event includes six three-game tournaments over seven days. The competition will feature a format that has several stops held over the course of the week-long event.

3×3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.

The FIBA 3×3 Nations League will be a qualification route to the 2025 FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup. Conference winners will qualify for the event, set for Sept. 17-21 in Xiong An, China. The rest of the teams will come from the winners of each conference and the next teams in the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Nations League final standings.

That’s right, for the sixth consecutive season, the LSU volleyball team has earned the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award after maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30. 

It is the 11th all-time honor for the Tigers.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 3️⃣9️⃣ DAYS

With just 3️⃣9️⃣ days until kickoff, we throw it back to the 1968 Peach Bowl when LSU great Craig Burns got the Tigers going in the second quarter with a 3️⃣9️⃣ yard punt return for a TD.

Burns’ score sparked a scoring run that helped LSU to a 31-27 victory over #19 Florida State.

At the time, it was the 14th all-time punt return for a TD.

Craig Burns finished his LSU career with 12 INTs, including a career-high 8 during his senior year of 1970.
