🔼 Forever A Legend. Sometimes, you just gotta stop what you’re doing and tip your cap.

Today, we tip our cap to LSU legend Tyrann Mathieu who officially retired after a 12-year NFL career, spending time with four different organizations, last playing three seasons with his hometown New Orlean Saints.

Well done, Honey Badger, well done.

🔼 Turning Heads. And now the rest of the NFL knows what we already knew, Malik Nabers is the real deal.

When the New York Giants took Nabers sixth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, they knew they were getting a dynamic playmaker, but this week, the rest of the league recognized the former Tiger as he earned the #67 spot on the NFL’s Top 100 list being unveiled.

Nabers finished his rookie season with a NY Giants franchise-record 109 receptions, 1,204 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in just 15 games.

🔼 Academic Aces. Sure, it was yet another success year on the court for the LSU tennis programs.

But that success wasn’t limited to the court as both Tiger programs were honored this week by the ITA as an All-Academic Team for their prowess in the classroom.

In addition, five student-athletes were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 3️⃣8️⃣ DAYS

In his debut season at LSU, Mason Taylor gave us all a sneak peek of what was to come for the Tigers over the next three seasons as he hauled in a freshman tight end record 3️⃣8️⃣ catches in 2022.

Taylor is the only LSU tight end in program history with three season or more of 35+ catches, including a single-season record last fall with 55.
